Using Custom Fonts in Your React Native projects

How to use Custom react native fonts

Fonts are a great way to build richly nice and user interfaces. This tutorial is for you to add custom fonts on your react native projects, just make sure you have all the fonts downloaded.

Step 1: Move your custom fonts inside your src/fonts folder

Step 2: Create a file called

react-native.config.js

Step 3:  paste these lines of code inside of it

module.exports = {
  project: {
    ios: {},
    android: {},
  },
  assets: ['./src/fonts/'],
};

Lastly run this command:

npx react-native link

The above command you will run on your cli will generate this folder

app\android\app\src\main\assets\fonts

where all your custom fonts will be cloned to. Then in your react native codes do this

style={{flex: 1, fontFamily: 'CircularStdMedium'}}

and you should be able to use the custom font on your project.
